USMARC Concise Authority: Series Treatment Fields (64X)
Fields 640-646 contain information concerning the treatment of a series or other multipart item represented by the heading in a 1XX field in the same record. The data elements and fields that are used to record series treatment information include three character positions in field 008; link, standard number, and call number fields in the 0XX range; and the 64X series treatment information fields.
